The Identity Theft side quest in Batman: Arkham City presents players with a chilling murder mystery scattered across the dangerous prison district. Investigating these crime scenes allows players to track down a sinister killer who is surgically removing faces from victims. Locating every body and analyzing the forensic evidence is crucial for discovering the true identity behind these gruesome crimes.

Finding the First Crime Scene in Park Row

The first victim becomes available after completing specific main story objectives early in the campaign. Head to the northern section of Park Row near the alleyways east of the courthouse to find the body covered in bandage wraps. Activate Detective Mode to scan the victim's face and follow the surrounding forensic clues to begin the case.

Locating the Second Victim Near the Bowery

As you progress further into the game, a second crime scene will manifest in the alleyways of The Bowery. The body is situated near a alley close to the central region of the district. Scan the scene thoroughly using Evidence Scanner to detect traces of bleach used by the perpetrator to obscure footprints.

Discovering the Final Body in the Industrial District

The third victim is hidden away near the base of the Ace Chemicals building on the eastern side of the city. Finding this body triggers a vital clue, allowing Batman to track a chemical trail left behind by the killer. Following this trail leads directly to a concealed hideout where the final confrontation takes place.

Confronting the Identity Thief and Finishing the Quest

Inside the hideout, players uncover the shocking truth regarding Dr. Thomas Elliot, who modified his own face to resemble Bruce Wayne. Interacting with the audio logs and confronting Hush wraps up the investigation. Completing this side mission secures full completion points and closes out one of the most memorable storylines in Arkham City.
